Weekly Update
Students can participate if some holiday activities this week:
Tuesday 12/17 ~ Rock Your Socks (wear fun winter socks, hats, and/or headbands)
Wednesday 12/18 ~ Clash of the Carolers (3rd grade students wear green)
Thursday 12/19 Mad About Plaid (wear your favorite flannel or plaid)
Friday 12/20 Pajama Day
We will be going to the Conservancy of SWFL on Wednesday 12/18. The bus will depart LOE at approximately 9:30 and return by 1:00. We will be outside for most of the activities with this field trip. Students should wear tennis shoes and dress accordingly. Sunscreen must be applied at home prior to coming to school.
LOE will have a closed campus from Dec. 9th-Dec. 20th for the Parent Patio to have lunch with your child due to December assessments.
A reading goal has been set for Quarter 2. Students are expected to read books independently, take an Accelerated Reader comprehension test, and earn at least 18 AR points. At least one of the books read must be a Sunshine State books. Students that meet this goal will earn a reward (to be voted on by the students).
Thank you to the White family for purchasing an ice cream party for our class from the PTO Fall Fundraiser. We will be having our party in January 🍦
Please practice multiplication facts at home. Having facts memorized will be very helpful with our Area unit in math and our equivalent fractions in a few month.
If you have a dismissal change during the day, please contact the front office at 377-7400 prior to 2:15. No dismissal changes will be made after this time.
If you are interested in becoming an LOE volunteer, you must complete the online volunteer application. The form must be completed to volunteer for field trips, classroom parties and celebrations, or to help in any capacity on school property. This is a process that needs to be completed each year.
